How was the booking process handled?: I booked through Saw-Wa-Dee, I guess is a part of udonthanihotels. I found it inconvienent to make 2 visa payments before arival, so asked to change it to a 1 only payment and it was changed within 2 days, & was a better price then booking direct. So yes I was happy with booking service.
Other comments about the hotel: I stayed at Bann Krating, Khao Lak about 2 1/2 years ago and had a great experience hence the return, but found a drop in quality in almost all areas, absolute min english speaking this time, 4 nights with an empty mini bar, ashtray next to toilet never cleaned from previous people, the 1st day my room was not cleaned, and breakfast, eggs way under cooked & bacon way over cooked. Maybe because it was low seasion but still expeted better from Amari as I have stayed in many of there hotels in Thailand and has always been very good. But there was 1 very young waitress that was very eager to provide good friendly service with a big Thai smile, & I thank her for that. Location is a good 15 to 20 min walk to town but only 100bht in taxi and I do think it has the best view of all the resorts in the area up on the hill

Other comments about the hotel: the hotel is beutifully located on a hill side beside the beach, room was clean and the view was breath taking. breakfast monotonous, but good. the hotel is a bit off city centre, the taxi is 100thb per was, 30 min walk or you can do as we did and hire a scooter. we both agree that the hotel is worth recomanding.

How was the booking process handled?: Normally i like Savadee but...Not ok this time! We had to pay more money after the first deposit (mistake from ThailandHotels-24.com) and my payment and my friends payment was mixed up 2 times. :(
Other comments about the hotel: Very nice hotel in the hillside just by the beach.The view is fantastic and the bungalows are very nice and claean. We lived in the new bungalows that was 100% private, the ols is 2 rooms in every bungalow. This is not a good hotel for small kids and travellers withe handicap due to the many many steps.

Other comments about the hotel: Baan Krating was a very nice place to stay. Our bungalow was fantastic with the most stunning view we have seen in a long time. P 4 was the number and it made my tears falling. Breathetaking.Perfect for honeymooners and couples who want to spice their togetherness.STRONGLY RECOMMEMDED !The stairs and different levels made you very qurious and fitted perfect to give you a nice walk in the lustrious gardenarea.Nice place to stay overall. The only minus is the pool wich was small and cool. Maybe more to view than swim into. Good breakfast. Baan Krating will see us again for sure.Nice staff.

Other comments about the hotel: We loved our stay in this delightful Oasis on the sea. The staff was very friendly, the breakfasts delicious and the room and view fabulous. Our room was private, clean and large. We were so pleased with the quite town of Khao Lak. The waterfalls were beautiful and worth the hike and the snorkeling was fabulous. The beach area was not crowded like some of the other Islands.

Other comments about the hotel: Small but a cosy & relaxing place to stay. Love the stunning seaview from the room and balcony. Well maintained except for a big cockroach dwelling in the toilet. Try the blue crab papaya salad at Muai Lan Restaurant next to Baan Krating (its sister restaurant). Cheap, special & nice.

Other comments about the hotel: Nice hotel with a wonderfull view over the ocean from the rooms. The staff was friendly and very serviceminded. The hotel is located close to the beach, and it is a paved walking path with steps down to the wonderfull beach. As far as we are concerned this was a perfect choice of hotel and we would love to return in the future. Thank you all at Baan Krating Hotel.

Other comments about the hotel: We spent there 2 nights during the rainy season. The ambient was wonderful, the staff was attentive and very friendly. There were only a few other guests. There was some construction and gardening going on which can t be heard in the room, pool or restaurant but from the beach platform. They didn t expect guests to visit the beach due to the weather. So the place and the couches were a little bit messy. Overall I would recommend it anyway.
