Other comments about the hotel: The photos of the hotel are misleading - the rooms had cobwebs, shaky furniture and faulty lights / TV / electric kettle. The TV remote is held together by scotch-tape. TV channels get shut out for no reason.The electric kettle has yellow gunk sitting on its heating element.The fridge holds 2 bottles of water.They could not even provide access to a microwave for heating up food.The swimming pool is a walled up space between the hotel and boundary wall, like a rectungular bathtub 1.2m deep and 10m long.Bathroom - shower doors do not fully close, toilet is yellow-stained, shampoo is useless, tiles are falling off the sink, hairdryer is ancient and does not sit in the holder.Bed shakes all the time.Ask for more coffee (3-in-1 type) and they tell you only 2 per room.You cannot call from room-to-room but reception can call your room.No local calls can be made from the hotel phones.Hotel reception is clueless about local attractions.Hotel receptionist spends all the time on the phone.Lizards are running over the ceiling and walls all the time.The hotel sits above and next to 4 niteclubs which play loud, terrible live music up to 2am so don t expect an early night.Balcony sliding doors need to be forced together to lock.Will definitely return to amazing Krabi but will NEVER go to Lavenice Hotel again, will recommend travellers to NEVER stay at Lavenice On The Beach Hotel. STAY AWAY !!!And for those wanting to deal direct with the hotel, good luck !! All these other sites seeking commission by hosting hotel booking sites make it seem like you re dealing with the hotel direct but you re actually dealing with some idiot in a sales office somewhere else. Water rather brown, so had to use bottled water for teeth etc. The wardrobe was large but falling apart and the area around it is in dire need of a lick of paint. For the price, it was ok. Probably was great 20 years ago when it had a breach frontage but now tired and the front has been built out by small street eating places. Half the rooms were boarded up and with only one stairway out (no elevator) a potential fire hazard. Went with a bike group but no off street parking so parked out the back of a sister hotel 300m away. Location in the middle of the bar / restaurant district very good, and close to the beach.
