That may explain why hotel claimed to be unaware of our reservation. Other comments about the hotel: There seemed to be some confusion about our confirmed booking on check-in, but we were quite happy to be upgraded to one of the bigger seaview bungalows with outside spa bath (which wasn t the cleanest). The room was spacious enough for my family of 4 (2 boys aged 10 and 7). The pool facilities were nice and clean. We loved wading in the shallow bay with goggles, but be warned - don t do this barefooted. Lots of sharp pieces of coral will soon cut your feet up + lots of spikey sea urchins. The hotel restaurant was basic but served a great panang and masaman curry - rivalling the best I ve had in Thailand over 10 years. The reception desk assisted with a local snorkeling trip which was enjoyable if a bit adventurous with a quite knackered boat. At night dining down the beach was fun. We enjoyed a memorable last night at the My Way Bar, where service was laidback but the atmosphere was priceless. All in all, we enjoyed the our first stay on Phangaan. Next time I might opt for a less remote location on Koh Phangaan, and more time to explore. [ThailandHotels-24.com integr.ERR:escaping]

We couldn t get to the island on time because of the typhoon and Sawasdee took care of all the rebookings perfectly and which mean t we didn t have to stress about it ourselves. Other comments about the hotel: Had a good time at Haadlaad and the hotel is good and very new. The pool is a bit small, and that could be a problem when the hotel is full. Otherwise an enjoyable stay.

Pool was nice and the room was well furnished, clean and was cleaned up every day.

Other comments about the hotel: Staff was very friendly, the Prestige Villa was a disappointment, jacuzzi did not work properly, but I recommend very much the Pool Villa. Breakfast was not up to European standard, it should be improved. Prices on services were double where anywhere else.
