Other comments about the hotel: This is a wonderful place in a beautiful environment. The rooms are large, spacious, clean, nicely decorated. The swimming pool area just beautiful and a large pool with spotlight for night swimming. We stayed in a room with view on the river and I recommend this option. Just perfect to relax. Not too far from Kanchanaburi town centre either. The staff could do better with a little English lesson. communication were a little limited but we finally could understand each other.

We ll make this place our home next time we are staying in k- buri.

Hotel staff weren t that helpfull, pool wasn t that clean, bedrooms needed a make-over. And so far out of town you can t walk (and the Taxi fair was fortunes). Hotel was empty and isolated.

Other comments about the hotel: We stayed there second time. The hotel is very nice and daytimes very quiet and you only hear birds. We were the only guests over the daytime. At first night it was also very quiet in the hotel. Second night, there was a big group of japanese people, and you could forget the quiet atmosphere....shouting people into the deep night all over the hotel. The rooms are nice and clean, the bathroom is ok, the garden is very nice and the pool was for us two alone .-)The breakfast was ok, but the restaurant was not so clean as last time we stayed there. Very dirty tableclothes...no go..urgh..on the day we lost hotel, the gardener was spraying poison against mosquitos...they had forgotten, that there were persons and we two guests in the hotel?????????????? Crazy smoke...stinking situation....But for that all, the staff was friendly and helpfull and we would enter this hotel again, when we are on a trip throuh Thailand.
The review was written 2008-12-14 by: Brian Jensen How was the booking process handled?: the booking service i would use again for my further bookings. it just works exellent Other comments about the hotel: it was a good experience getting to that hotel, very nice staff, good food and good rooms. the hotel has seen better days it seems a bit old but still in good condition.the staff was very polite, gentle and always smiling and helpfull not everyone speaks english so can be hard to communicate with them sometimes.the rooms was nice, and comfy. i missed some channels on television ex. cnn since we where at the hotel duing the strike at the airport. there are a tour compagny in the lobby, which i dont trust/ felt ripped off after i had used them. they take advantage on customers there since they know they are alone on the service there, but again we could have used a compagny from town.

Other comments about the hotel: Nice hotel but not for the price. The price was higher than at the Felix and it was not as good as the Felix. The spa was not very good. The airconditioning went out in the women s room so we had to move to the men s room. She had me walk through the upstairs lobby in the nude, with only the paper panties, moving from one room to the other. The massage was not very good either. The airconditioning was too cold and she kept putting a cold towel on me after she finished putting oil on me. It was not pleasant. It also did not seem to be a trained therapist. When we go to a resort we like to go to a place where they have a good spa so I don t believe we will go back to this hotel.

Other comments about the hotel: If you go to kanchanaburi for one nigth or two it might work here.We stay for 5 nights really nothing to do with worker don t really care about us. Reception girl are nice but resturant people need more training to do.We order room service once and never get the food cause the guy forgot our room number the maneger call to say sorry but from the sound when talking to him I don t think he really care.House keeping cleaning the room very very lound and they forgot to clean our room even know we staying at one of expensive room in that hotel.It a big hotel and have a lot of tour group stying so guess they don t care much about how guest think.Over all is a ok hotel but I will never go back there again.I will give many other small hotel around Kanchanaburi a chance than this big hotel and bad at service.

Service very friendly and efficient. Simple food from the menu, the special dinner cruise with buffet was very good - could make the atmosphere more special with a guitarist - a duo playing soft music instead of the pop tape/cd.Many ants around on the balcony and lots of mosquitos in the room which needs daily spraying. The jacussi and swimming pool are fine but lots of leaves and again ants around the pool area - disturbing. Very informative, friendly private taxi tour service.

Other comments about the hotel: Good and nice hotel.However hotel is about 8km outside of Kanchanaburi, so if you are looking for a quiet spa resort the hotel is fine. Rooms are clean with A/C, breakfast is ok. You can rent bikes (not the newest ones) in the hotel and you can also book different tours to Erawan, River Kwai Bridge...

My wife and I were given a twin room over looking the garden. Not too sure if this was my mistake or ThailandHotels-24.com but the hotel did their best to resolve it. We had to wait a short while but we got a double room.Good service from hotel staff. Other comments about the hotel: Lovely resort but not too close to Kanchanaburi. Taxi into town each day and back costs 400 baht. Breakfast was OK but not set out well. Cutlery over here, plates over there, ketchup in another corner, toaster at the other end, eggs done outside and so on. You kind of had to chase your breakfast down by doing a sweep of the dining room.The rooms were nice though and very clean. Very expensive inside the hotel. i.e. Foot massage cost treble what it does in the town centre. However, staff are great and resolve any problem almost immediately. We had no hot water when we arrived but it was fixed within 15 minutes of reporting it. Front desk staff were great correcting a problem with the room type and the bell boys couldn t help enough. Really great staff and a lovely resort, just a bit out the way.
