How was the booking process handled?: The booking system was flawless. I used my VISA card for payment. My reservation was immediately recognized upon my arrival. (Mind you, this is my fourth stay in the past two years.)
Other comments about the hotel: This is the ONLY full-service, four-star type hotel in Kalasin. It has no competition in the city. The Rimpao is comfortable and the service is adequate. English is understood and spoken by a small number of staff. The view is pleasing from the upper floors. The pool (not heated) has just been repaired and is a great attraction for any kids. The ground-floor restaurant has a limited foreign menu. Beer is available (no wine or spirits). The lower level offers four evening entertainment venues for relaxing, including a snooker hall and an Extreme disco. This hotel also offers full convention facilities and meeting rooms. Internet access is available at a cost, and the connection is of a somewhat poor quality and slow. But, hey, this is not downtown Bangkok! I used my Blackberry without any problems so had no need for additional Internet connection.I will certainly stay at the Rimpao the next time I am in the area on paleontological research. (This is great dinosaur hunting country!)I would re-name the hotel to The Kalasin Siamosaurus or, The Kalasin Siamotyrannus to reflect the unique dinosaur discoveries in the area.

Other comments about the hotel: Good stay as always. Staff very good and provide an excellent service. The hotel now has internet access in reception, and the price is not too bad. It s a pity that the rooms have not been renovated since it opened, ours was really showing signs of neglect. All it requires is a bit of maintenance.

Other comments about the hotel: Medium to small size room with twin beds ( double available at extra fee ).Small bathroom with basic toiletries, great HW pressure. Buffet b fast not available my morning only basic ABF....worst hotel coffee I have had for ages...but at least the eggs were hot.CYBERPOINT pre paid internet available. 10 min walk to bus stn via the lake. Average to poor value for money.

How was the booking process handled?: booking service is excellent, although the deposit is same value as the FULL room charge. Hence if there are any problems, you just lose your deposit. Unfortunately, it means you get NO refund.
Other comments about the hotel: Hotel, pool, bars, parlours, staff and food are all good. Unfortunately the rooms are starting to wear and it shows. It is the best in Kalasin, so check out your room first and switch if it isn t up to standard

Other comments about the hotel: I think, it is the only hotel in this region with a pool, which was the important thing for us to go there with our children. We stayes one night on travelling further on. Everything was okay, clean rooms, very very big pool.

Other comments about the hotel: Same as usual, service amd staff good. Could do with a bit of re-decoration. As it is starting to look a bit tired.

How was the booking process handled?: Very efficiently done. I had to change the original booking by a day and this was sorted out without any trouble, with good email communication. On my arrival at the Hotel they were fully aware of the changes.
Other comments about the hotel: Very helpful staff, especially at reception where no problem seemed too much. Room was very simply furnished but very clean. Excellent hotel courtesy mini bus on hand for half day or full day trips at excellent value with friendly drivers who will take you anywhere, whether tourist locations or just to the bank and the shops.
