Other comments about the hotel: This is a great place for a relaxing time at the beach. The hotel is clean, the staff friendly and the food is typical Thai with some western. Breakfast on the beach each morning was beautiful and the breakfast was good. If you want night life and excitement, this is not the place for you as it is a ways out of town, but if you want relaxing by the pool, on the beach in a clean reasonable hotel, this is a perfect place. Admittedly, it is a little further away from the usual hotspots of Hua Hin and Cha Am but if you do make the trip there, I promise you that you would not be disappointed.I chose this hotel for my honeymoon and I m very pleased. The room is excellent and the rock/stone wall design is the first I ve seen in a hotel room. Most hotels would have great designs in public areas but for X2, most of the intricate details have been fully thought out and presented in your own room. Get the Deluxe pool villa because it is amazing to wake up to sounds of water lapping in your pool.Also, breakfast/lunch/dinner is great because you get to enjoy the seaview and pig-out on world class cuisine. How was the booking process handled?: The booking was great...so easy. I had several questions as I booked and I always got a prompt and appropriate answer by e-mail.
Other comments about the hotel: Our family enjoyed our stay at the Terra Salisa. It was clean and comfortable. It was a nice quiet place that was family friendly. The pool was small, but clean and not crowded. The restaurant was good, but we ate there only for breakfast (which was ok) and for one dinner since we wanted to try out the surrounding restaurants (the Indian Restaurant down the street was our favorite). The hotel helped us book a boat tour (which was fun) and they helped us book a public mini van back to Bangkok. The only negative was the beach itself which was pretty trashy and the sand was not white...the water seemed clean and was nice and warm. We would go back if we had the opportunity. Be sure to take a good book...there is not much to do there and that is just what we were looking for. Oh, one more thing...the bathroom, although clean, does not have a separate shower area, so the floor gets wet all over...so take some shower shoes. Our teenagers were glad there was internet at the hotel...we could use it in our bungalow since it was close to the hotel restaurant...and at the pool area. Other comments about the hotel: We spent a whole month at this resort hoping for a quiet holiday. Contrary to what last year s guests said, the hotel was very noisy. Lots of families with small children who were allowed to shout and scream. The bigger pool, as shown on internet, was reserved for villa owners. Hotel guests are asked to stay at small pools. Staff is very friendly but not so efficient. Maintenance is not good enough. All in all a cheap accommodation. Price is good but you get what you pay for! Breakfast was generous, service a bit slow.
